OCTOBER 17TH -20TH

RUG MAKING RETREAT

Join me live and in person at Glen Eyrie Castle in Colorado Springs for a 2 day, 3 night Rug Making vacation! I fell in love with Glen Eyrie and I know you will, too!

About the Retreat

Join me for an unforgettable punch needle retreat from October 17th to 20th at the historic Glen Eyrie Castle in the breathtaking mountains of Colorado Springs. Over two days, immerse yourself in the art of punch needle rug making, where you'll learn to design, plan, and begin crafting your own unique 2ft x 3ft rug. I’m here to guide you through every step, from laying out and tracing your pattern to color planning and punching techniques.

While you won’t complete your rug at the retreat, you’ll head home with all the supplies you need to finish it at your own pace, including 16 balls of hand-dyed rug wool, a mini gripper frame, and a treasure trove of other freebies.

This all-inclusive experience offers more than just creative fulfillment. Your ticket covers a three-night stay in the Glen View Lodge or Pink House, all meals plus coffee, tea, and snacks. This is more than a workshop; it’s a luxurious, nurturing escape where you can unwind, connect with fellow creatives, and bring your artistic vision to life.

Spaces are limited—reserve your spot today for a truly inspiring retreat!

FAQs

What’s included in my ticket?

The retreat package includes a three-night stay at Glen Eyrie, all meals, coffee, tea, and snacks service, a complete 2ft x 3ft rug-making kit (including 16 balls of hand-dyed rug wool, a mini gripper frame, and other supplies), and hands-on instruction throughout the retreat.

Will I complete my rug during the retreat?

While you will begin your rug and learn all the necessary techniques during the retreat, you won’t complete it. However, you’ll leave with all the supplies and knowledge needed to finish your rug at home.

What skill level is required to attend this retreat?

I recommend you have at least a little punch needle experience under your belt, but you don’t have to be an expert! You also don’t have to be an amazing artist to design a rug. The instruction and technique has been tailored to fit all skill levels!

Can I book a private room?

Due to the limited space at Glen Eyrie we only have access to two private suites for an additional cost. All other lodging will be in a double queen room with a roommate.

What should I bring with me to the retreat?

All necessary materials and supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring your iPad or sketchbook if you have one. We recommend bringing comfortable clothing, any personal crafting tools you prefer, and a sense of creativity!

Can I bring a friend or family member who won't participate in the workshop?

If you plan to bring your spouse or other family you will need to book one of the private suites which include a king size bed and a Murphy bed. There will not be space for your spouse or family if you choose the double queen room as it is shared with another participant.

What is the cancellation policy?

We understand that plans can change. Cancellations made before September 12th will receive a full refund. Cancellations after this date will be subject to a cancellation fee. Please contact us for specific details.

Are there any additional activities or excursions planned?

While the focus is on punch needle crafting, there will be free time to explore the beautiful grounds of Glen Eyrie Castle. Optional group activities and social gatherings will also be available.
